Creole Shrimp

3 Tbsp. Crisco
1 medium onion, sliced
1 medium green pepper, chopped
2 8-oz cans tomato sauce
1/2 bay leaf
1 7-oz pkg. frozen shrimp, thawed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
2-1/2 cups cooked rice
cayenne pepper for taste

Melt Crisco in 2 quart saucepan. Add onions and green pepper. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally until tender.

Add tomato sauce, bay leaf, shrimp salt, and black pepper. Simmer 15 minutes.

Add rice, heat.

Add cayenne pepper for taste.
